An integer is a positive or negative whole number.
Any parenthesis that are in front or behind of a number, that means that the second minus sign is a negative. Just to let you know.
If you were to have the problem 3-(-4)
That would equal -1.
Or -3+6 If the positive is bigger that the negative in a + or - problem, it would be positive. The answer would be 3
First you have to make the negative and the minus sign to a positive and a plus sign. Because in this kind of math, there is no such thing as minus signs.
In a problem like -4x(-3) it would be a positive because a negative times a negative is a positive, and a positive times or divided by a negative is a negative, and obviously a positive times or divided by a positive is a positive. So all you pretty much have to is 4x3 which is 12. So it's positive 12 because a negative times a negative is a positive.
